Today we went to a South Asian festival they have every year in Edinburgh called the Mela. It's as you'd imagine any festival - full of tents with food, music, markets etc, but with a South Asian theme.
It used to be held in a park just up the street, but for some reason this year they moved it to a car park opposite a big shopping centre. Luckily for us it's also just about 10 mins walk away from our flat, albeit in the opposite direction. Bit of a shame with the change in venue though, it was a bit soulless. But what it lacked in atmosphere it made up for in choice and quality of food on offer. Our bellies were hurtin'.
